The drive noise sounds really loud as I have the camera fairly close to the unit. Normally, I have headphones or the volume up. But yeah, a fairly clear demonstration that -unless you are running Custom Firmware that is overclocking the unit- the difference in load times can be virtually nil between UMD and Memory Stick. If Sony really wanted to improve drive speed, they would put a 2X or 4X UMD drive on the unit. The current UMD drive speed has never been updated on the PSP and thats really the problem.
