In levels, you may find a lot of obstacles. You need resources to remove obstacles. You can earn resources by 3 ways... Gather up dropped resources, or build/restore buildings which generate resources over time, or chop fallen trees to earn some wood. (only wood) Sometimes, a pile of resource will appear in somewhere.
